January 19, 1991 – WWF Royal Rumble
In a shocking upset, Sgt. Slaughter defeats The Ultimate Warrior for the WWF Championship after interference from Randy Savage, who earlier in the night had been denied a title shot by the Warrior. After entering the Royal Rumble at #24, Hulk Hogan hangs on and eliminates Earthquake to win the 30-man match and earn a shot at the WWF Title at Wrestlemania. Also on the card, Virgil finally turns on his boss, Ted DiBiase, after the duo get a victory over Dusty & Dustin Rhodes, making their final appearance in the WWF.

June 14, 1991 – Clash of the Champions XV: Knocksville, USA
WCW World Champion Ric Flair defends his title in a best 2-out-of-3 falls match against Bobby Eaton. In the first fall, Eaton gets an upset pinfall on Flair after the Alabama Jam, but injures his knee and is counted out in the second fall. Flair capitalizes and uses the figure four to win the deciding fall and retain the title. U.S. Champion Lex Luger becomes the official number one contender to the World Title by defeating New Japan’s The Great Muta. The Steiners successfully defend their IWGP Tag Team Title, defeating Hiroshi Hase and Masahiro Chono, but afterward they are attacked by Dick Murdoch and Dick Slater. Sting gains a measure of revenge on Nikita Koloff by pinning him in a grudge match, but Koloff later attacks Sting while he is meeting a fan. Brian Pillman, teaming with El Gigante, loses the fall in a match to Barry Windham, teaming with Arn Anderson, where the loser must leave WCW. Also in action are some of WCW’s new talent, including Steve Austin, Oz and The Diamond Studd.

July 14, 1991 – WCW Great American Bash ’91
After the shocking departure of Ric Flair from WCW, Lex Luger and Barry Windham meet in the main event to determine the new WCW World Champion. Harley Race and Mr. Hughes come to ringside to aid Luger, who uses a piledriver to pin Windham and finally capture the WCW Title. Sting and Nikita Koloff continue their rivalry in a Russian Chain Match, with Koloff coming out the winner. In another grudge match, newest York Foundation member Richard Morton defeats former tag team partner Robert Gibson, and Dustin Rhodes ends up the last man standing in a six-man elimination match where Rhodes and The Young Pistols defeat The Freebirds and Badstreet.

Aug. 26, 1991 – SummerSlam ’91: The Match Made in Heaven/The Match Made in Hell
Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior join forces to defeat the trio of Sgt. Slaughter, Col. Mustafa & General Adnan in the main event with WWF newcomer Sid Justice as the special referee. Three title belts change hands, as Bret Hart defeats Mr. Perfect for the WWF Intercontinental Title, The Legion of Doom capture the WWF Tag Team Championship from The Nasty Boys, and Virgil pins former boss Ted DiBiase to win his Million Dollar Belt. In a “jailhouse match,” Big Bossman defeats The Mountie, forcing him to spend the night in a New York City jail. And at the conclusion of the night’s matches, Randy Savage and Elizabeth exchange their wedding vows in the middle of the ring.

Sept. 5, 1991 – Clash of the Champions XVI: Fall Brawl ’91
After attacking and injuring Bill Kazmaier earlier in the night, The Enforcers of Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko defeat Kazmaier and Rick Steiner in a tournament final to win the vacant WCW World Tag Team Title. Sting, having recently received a mystery gift box that contained Abdullah the Butcher, receives a second box during a match against Johnny B. Badd. After Sting pins Badd, Cactus Jack emerges from the box to attack him. In semifinal matches in the WCW Light Heavyweight Title Tournament, Brian Pillman defeats Badstreet and Richard Morton beats Mike Graham. Other matches include WCW TV Champion Steve Austin pinning Z-Man, Ron Simmons beating The Diamond Studd and El Gigante winning the “Georgia Brawl” battle royal.

Sept. 10, 1991 – Million Dollar Belt: Virgil vs. Ted DiBiase, Special Referee: Randy Savage (Coliseum Video Invasion ’92)
Ted DiBiase seems poised to regain his Million Dollar Belt but gets into an argument with special referee Randy Savage. After knocking Savage out, DiBiase locks in the Million Dollar Dream, but Savage recovers and hits a double-axehandle off the top rope on DiBiase, allowing Virgil to get the pin and retain the title.

Oct. 27, 1991 – WCW Halloween Havoc ’91 (Turner Home Video and WWE 24/7 versions)
Ron Simmons challenges WCW World Champion Lex Luger in a 2-out-of-3-falls match for the title, but Luger outlasts Simmons 2 falls to 1 to retain the belt. In the finals of a tournament to determine the first WCW Light Heavyweight Champion, Brian Pillman pins Richard Morton to win the title. In other title bouts, The Enforcers retain the WCW World Tag Team Title by defeating U.S. Tag Team Champions The Patriots and WCW TV Champion Steve Austin holds out for a time limit draw against Dustin Rhodes. A masked man called the WCW Halloween Phantom debuts with a quick win over Z-Man, and then later in the night is revealed by Paul E. Dangerously to be Ravishing Rick Rude. Dangerously announces that he plans to destroy WCW by taking out its top stars, starting with Sting, and promises Rude will get the job done. Meanwhile, Sting teams with El Gigante and The Steiners to win the Chamber of Horrors cage match over Abdullah the Butcher, Cactus Jack, Big Van Vader and The Diamond Studd.

Nov. 2, 1991 – World Championship Wrestling
WCW World Tag Team Champions The Enforcers join forces with WCW TV Champion Steve Austin to take on Barry Windham, Dustin Rhodes and Michael Hayes. Austin uses brass knuckles to knock out Hayes, but Jimmy Garvin comes to ringside and gets the knucks from Lady Blossom. Garvin tosses them to Rhodes, who knocks out Austin to gain his team the victory. In other matches, WCW U.S. Champion Sting pins Oz, Madusa defeats Bambi, and Mr. Hughes beats Bobby Eaton.

Nov. 13, 1991 – WWF Intercontinental Title: Bret Hart vs. Ric Flair (Coliseum Video Invasion ’92)
Self-proclaimed Real World Champion Ric Flair attempts to capture the Intercontinental Title from Bret Hart, but after nearly 20 minutes of action both men end up on the arena floor. Mr. Perfect prevents Hart from getting back in the ring, allowing Flair to earn a countout victory.

Nov. 24, 1991 – Survivor Series Showdown ’91
Ted DiBiase once again challenges Virgil in a match for the Million Dollar Belt, but this time DiBiase gets an assist from Repo Man, who steals the belt and uses it to KO Virgil, allowing DiBiase to score the pin and regain his gold. Big Bossman squares off against Earthquake heading into their Survivor Series match, but the bout ends in a disqualification when Earthquake’s partners Typhoon, IRS and Jake Roberts all interfere until The Legion of Doom make the save for Bossman. Uncensored footage is also shown of Roberts’ attack on Randy Savage in which a cobra bites Savage’s arm, leading to a campaign for Savage to be reinstated so that he can compete against Roberts’ team at Survivor Series. Hacksaw Jim Duggan announces the final member of his team for Survivor Series as Sgt. Slaughter, completing Slaughter’s road to redemption after asking forgiveness for turning on his country.

Dec. 2, 1991 – Hulk Hogan vs. Typhoon/Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels/WWF Tag Team Title: The Legion of Doom vs. The Beverly Brothers (Coliseum Video Invasion ’92)
In matches held during a television taping in Corpus Christi, TX, Hulk Hogan pins former ally Typhoon with a legdrop and the Legion of Doom retain their Tag Team Title against The Beverly Brothers with the Doomsday Device. While attempting a dive from the ring onto Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels knocks himself out when he hits the railing. Marty Jannetty rolls his unconscious partner back into the ring, allowing Flair to get the easy pin.

Dec. 4, 1991 – Randy Savage & Hacksaw Duggan vs. Jake Roberts & The Undertaker (Coliseum Video Invasion ’92)
Randy Savage gets another chance for revenge on Jake Roberts and The Undertaker, with Hacksaw Jim Duggan as his partner, but the match gets out of control when Savage brings a chair into the ring. Savage uses the chair on both of his opponents and Duggan brings in his 2×4, giving Roberts and Undertaker the win by disqualification.
